My name is Scott Danroth and I am a goalkeeper for Juventus U15 boys in Edmonton’s premier league. I previously played for the FC Barcelona Escola Academy and currently attend school at Mount Carmel Soccer Academy.

I train with former pro Armando Sanchez at Goalking. At Mount Carmel, I play and train as a goalkeeper and left back, which ultimately helps me as a keeper.

My greatest attribute is my footwork, my calmness with the ball under pressure, and my determination. I am an optimist and believe in never, ever giving up on a play.

In terms of accomplishments, I have played in the local premier league for many years, was the gold medal winning goalie at the FC Barcelona Canada U12 National Tournament with six clean sheets and played internationally at the FC Barcelona Escola tournament in Spain.

In addition to soccer, I am an avid downhill skier; I love the outdoors, the speed and the freedom that comes with being on the hill.  In the summer, I enjoy wake surfing and golfing. I also like watching movies with my older sister (who plays NCAA Div II soccer at Concord University), playing chess, studying history and thinking about inventions.

My dream is to play for Canada at the World Cup and professionally in the top leagues of England or Europe.

One of my favourite players is Asmir Begovic who grew up training here in Edmonton, Canada and now plays in the EPL. I am also a fan of Ralph Krueger, Chairman of the Southampton Football Club, who helped me learn how to waterski here in Edmonton when I was younger while he was coach of the Edmonton Oilers hockey team.
